I am a graduate of University of Wisconsin - Whitewater where I received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. I am the owner of a small website design and hosting company called Meffert Web Hosting LLC, hosting websites for various organizations and businesses stretching as far as Brazil. I have vast experience in servers, networking, hardware, software, server virtualization, and AWS cloud computing. I leverage AI-powered development tools like Claude Code to accelerate development workflows. My breadth of programming languages includes HTML, CSS, SQL, PHP, Python, and VB.NET. I have been working as a Web Developer/IT Lead at Roundhouse for over a decade.

Recently my 2008 iMac has been seeming a bit sluggish and the hard drive was showing very slow read and write speeds.
pfSense has been a great addition to my home network but I haven’t messed with aliases until recently.
I purchased a Cisco SG300-28P switch to replace two 8 port unmanaged switches that I had been using in my home network.
